CW Announces Supernatural Move to Wednesday There was quite a lot of feeling passing through my social media feeds this morning as the entire Supernatural fandom awaited news of their beloved Winchesters at the CW Upfronts this morning in New York (the Upfronts are where the stars of each network’s shows give some face time to advertisers, and where network honchos try to sell advertising space ahead of time to said advertisers). There was a great deal of happy, and some people were very angry about CW’s move of Supernatural from Friday night to Wednesday night, and cursed it as being the death of the show. In fact, it is just the opposite. It a show of confidence on the network’s part that Supernatural has garnered enough viewers to more than satisfy a Wednesday night audience. People are remiss in thinking that Friday night is a good night for television ratings; it isn’t. Typically, it’s where once-watched shows go to die. Supernatural GAINED viewership on Friday night. Network honchos’ realized if they moved it back to a night where they are more likely to have viewers already watching television (say, Wednesday night) and paired it with a new and like-minded show, not only [...]

Great news for Supernatural! The CW announced their 2012-2013 schedule this morning (click here for more information). Supernatural has been moved to Wednesdays, filling the 9:00 pm slot after the new super-hero themed Arrow (8:00 pm). The move to Wednesdays, designed to bring in more viewers as more people stay in on Wednesdays than on Fridays, is fantastic news for Supernatural. The long-running show is set to air its Season 7 finale tomorrow night, and was recently renewed for another season. Filming for Season 8 will begin July 10, and with the premiere being moved to October, this means less mid-season hiatus. Welcome to Wednesdays, Winchesters!
I just want to say I really, really hate cliffhangers. I hate that they make you squirm and speculate until September. I have a very wild imagination so some of my scenarios can get pretty crazy. Last nights episode of NCIS was an uber cliffhanger. The past few episodes the team was trying to catch Harper Dearing, a father who was trying to avenge the death of his naval officer son. He found flaws in the electrical wiring and used that to try to blow up a navy ship. He is a very devious and cunning man. He was able to sneak a bomb past the naval yards security. When they finally figured it out it was too late. Everything ended with a huge explosion. We have no idea what happened to anybody. Gibbs (Mark Harmon) grabs Abby (Pauley Perrette) as they fall to the floor as the bomb explodes and shatters the window in her lab, same thing with Tim and director Vance. Ziva (Cote De Pablo) and Tony (Michael Weatherly) were in the elevator when the bomb exploded. Don’t know why they were in the elevator. That was kind of stupid of them when they knew a bomb [...]

So another season with our favourite Winchesters will soon be behind us, as we approach Season 7′s finale this Friday. We have been through a lot this season: losing two of our favourite characters, only to have them return in an entirely different capacity; we have been subjected to a series of beaters that the boys have been forced to drive since the Impala has been in hiding; the fandom nearly imploded when Sam got married to SuperFan99, and rejoiced when we were once again graced with our Alpha Vamp. Season 7 has been Supernatural’s darkest season yet, in my opinion. Season 2, after the loss of John Winchester, and having Dean and Sam trying to figure out life without him was a close second, but left room for happiness in that both boys were finally out of their father’s shadow and able to live their lives as they are. Season 7 seems to be all about loss: losing their ability to work in the open, losing Bobby, losing (and regaining and losing and regaining again) Castiel (more on that later), losing their capacity for happiness, even in the small things. The light-heartedness is more and more fleeting with each episode, [...]

Michelle Resendiz – Chicago, IL. Rain Cosmetics is one impressive company. I was sent a couple of things to review, and I was very impressed. From the packaging, to the booklet of information about the products… you can tell this is a very classy operation. The other really neat thing about ‘Rain’ is their participation in the Miss Universe Organization! They just released a press release about their upcoming partnership with the organization, and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to see what they put on the girls this year. LAS VEGAS- May 9, 2012- Rain Cosmetics announced today a continued partnership with the Miss Universe Organization as the Official Cosmetics Sponsor. The Las Vegas-based beauty brand, who made its pageant debut last summer, will sponsor the 61st annual MISS USA® Pageant, which will air on NBC Sunday, June 3 (911 p.m. ET) from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas at the Theatre for Performing Arts. The fun and flirty cosmetics line gets its inspiration from and is based in Las Vegas, the city that the Miss USA Pageant calls it’s home away from home. The company’s lightweight, long-wearing products with rich pigments and high-definition finishes will [...]

“The Hounds of Baskerville,” Sherlock’s second episode reinterprets one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most notable Holmes’ tales, weaving old and contemporary together into something entirely new and thrilling. The second episode revolves around Henry Knight, a troubled young man who comes to Sherlock for help after memories of him witnessing his father’s murder as a young boy, start plaguing his dreams. Henry claims a gigantic hound that escaped from Baskerville Military Laboratory Base was the thing that killed his father and after an encounter in the woods near the same location of his father’s death, he believes the rabid animal is still roaming the woods poised to strike and claim another life. Sherlock and Watson travel Devon to the Hound’s lair – Dewer Hollow aka “Devil’s Hollow” to investigate the supposed sightings of the beast, but as the mystery starts to unravels Sherlock is forced to face something he has never confronted before…doubt. Doubt of not only his mind, but his senses which he needs to heavily rely on if he plans on solving this case, before their client, Henry loses his mind and succumbs to the beast of Baskerville. This present-day adaption is penned by Mark Gatiss and [...]

Director Guy Bee was back at the helm for the warm up for the finale of “Supernatural’s” seventh Season. If you’ve been keeping up with this season you know that things have, as usual, gone south for the Winchesters. Not only does Dick Roman have Kevin Tran – marvelous prophet (Osric Chau) but he seems to know everything they’re going to do before they do it. Dick threatens Kevin and manages to get the young man to translate the tablet of God’s word. Wonder why he needs it? Back at Rufus’ cabin Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are trying to unpuzzle God’s riddle about the Leviathan. Dean wants to charge in and try to kill Dick Roman (James Patrick Stuart) but Sam wants to hold back and try to figure out more of the translation. My vote? I’m not sure. Rushing in rarely works and planning things out rarely works – so in Winchester land I’m not sure there is a good choice. While Bobby has been lurking around the flask and recharging his ghost battery he’s been thinking about the puzzle as well. The problem is that he’s also starting to become a little edgy. During a [...]

In this episode, Lisbon is called to the crime scene in an abandon warehouse where a decomposing body was found in large storage cabinet. The body had seemed to be bound as well and the estimate for how long the body was locked up for was about six months. Lisbon calls Jane asking him to come to the crime scene, but Jane is obviously distracted by something and he says that he will be around later. After hanging up with Lisbon, Jane heads to his car, but notices a card attached to the windshield. The card reads “Happy Anniversary” and it is obvious that Red John is alluding to the day he killed Jane’s family and his no problems taunting him about it. Jane then heads over to the cemetery to visit his family’s gravesite, but happens to run into a small girl. The girl comes up to Jane saying “Hello, Patrick” which is odd, since he doesn’t even know this girl. The girl, Haley, continues to talk saying a friend of his brought her here and then drew a red smiley face on her hand. Jane instantly knows that Red John is behind this and as he goes to [...]

I have been on the hunt for the perfect mother’s day gift, and so far the biggest problem I’ve been having is I don’t know what to get first! Here’s the issue… between Lush, Carol’s Daughter, and now this wonderful gem by June Jacobs I can’t decide what to get.
