Hey everyone! I have been going through my vault of holiday items, and I was on the hunt this year for things that would be different and perfect for those special people in my life. One of the things I wanted to check into was my favorite retailer, CAROL’s DAUGHTER! They were my number one on the list of things to check out… and here’s a BOOMING item I couldn’t leave the store without getting.
I recently was on the quest for the perfect vanilla. Not just any vanilla, but the most perfect vanilla that you have ever smelled… I’m always on the conquest for that actually, now that I think of it. Anyway, this caught my eye… Vanilla Petals. It sounded so soft and perfect!
What is it?
It is a Set/DUO that contains one body cleansing cream, and a Frappe body lotion. It smells like “J’adore Vanilla Petal’s, a powdery light and delicate aroma; its simple yet indulgent”. What really caught my eye was that it was a holiday item inspired by French Marshmallows that were infused with luscious floral scent. I immediately thought to myself… wow this is going to be something different and AWESOME for the holiday!
My REVIEW
I really like the scent, but I don’t think it smells like vanilla. Although, on the box is does say that its the “right amount of vanilla to entice the senses, its mixed with a few violets and orange flowers simmered in.” So, it’s not a pure vanilla scent. I think if you get this with the thought that its going to smell like vanilla then you will be disappointed.
Do I love it? Yes I do! It doesn’t smell like your ‘true vanilla’ scent, but it is a lovely floral/powder smell that treats your skin very well. Its like baby powder, vanilla, and floral petals all infused together into some serious moisture. That was one thing that made me fall in love immediately was the way it made my skin feel. The quality of Carol’s Daughter always gets me… its amazing.
I give it 3 out of 5 stars on the scent, and 5 out of 5 on the moisture side. It definitely does its job making my skin soft and clean, and I love the creamy texture of the lotion and the shower cleansing cream.

In the shower, squeeze a small amount of the Vanilla Petals Body Cleansing Cream onto a wet washcloth, loofah or sponge and work into a lather. Gently massage onto your skin and rinse. For use in the bathtub, pour 2 to 3 capfuls under running water to create a soothing, spa-like experience. Then massage the Vanilla Petals Frappé Body Lotion onto damp, towel-dried skin for a silky-smooth feel. Re-apply any time for a little extra moisture and an extra bit of the fragrance.
