Lush’s New Line Teaser: Thank you Lush Bucktown Chicago!

OK I have to tell you, this is only my little teaser post… because I just got back from Lush Bucktown Chicago, and I HAVE TO TELL YOU WHATS GOING ON! This is epic, like, TOTALLY AMAZINGLY EPIC! Lush handmade Cosmetics is launching a new line. It’s been pretty hush-hush until today, and I have never been more excited to be apart of the press launch. We went to Bucktown today with the expectations of seeing some new products, meeting new friends, and getting the inside scoop… yet we left with so much more.

Being greeted at the doors by some really awesome ladies, they quickly made us feel right at home ~~as usual~~ and offered us a cupcake and something to drink. It’s like going over to your best friends house! Lush Bucktown is really the greatest store on earth!

Ok so onto the good stuff…

They took us back into this secret room where black curtains hung around the room sectioning us into this little woman cave of candles and amazing-ness. I felt like I was getting my fortune told to me! Sure enough, that’s very similar to what happened, but only we got our color fortunes! Lush is launching a line of MAKE-UP, and it’s nothing like you have ever seen before. You don’t just go pick out colors that you like and wear them. Although, I’m sure you can do that… the experience that I had, was so different and amazing.

As you are sitting there in the room of candles and sexy smells; our little ‘fortune teller’ was spinning this Emotional Brilliance wheel of color sitting on the table in front of me. She told me as she spinned the wheel to look for colors that pop out at me. “Not for any specific reason, not any specific style, just watch the colors and tell me what 3 pop out to you”. So when the wheel stopped I just picked the first three colors that stood out, and check out what happens next.

She picked up the colored disc to reveal a little bottle of color underneath it. “Here are your colors! The first color is you, the second color is the ‘issue’ and the third color is the answer to all this” she began to explain how Emotional Brilliance works, and that’s when I knew that this was more than just some ‘new make-up that was coming out’. This was about to change the way people see things… this was about to change the trends, and the styles, and the looks of the season… this is about to change make-up history!

My colors…

Lifted: is a cream eyeshadow in a bright yellow color. She said that I picked this because I tend to lift up those around me!

Feeling Secure: is a cream eyeliner in a bold purple. She said that I must be seeking some security in my life. That I’m looking to feel secure somewhere or with someone.

Sophisticated: is a cream eyeshadow in a brilliant campaign gold color. This was the outcome or the solution to the problem at hand. A little sophistication never hurt anyone!

Getting my fortune told to me based on the colors that I chose was amazing, the whole experience was totally amazing. AND, they let us go home with the three colors that we picked! I cannot wait to try these, and figure out a way to work these into my make-up regimen.
