Michelle Resendiz- Chicago, Il. **A big thanks to Jamie at StrangeFate Photography for taking such amazing Photos!**
Lush is becoming a quick obsession with me. Today on A Girl About Town I took a stroll into Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood to visit my favorite Plus Size Boutique Vive La Femme, and stopped at Lush Bucktown! I immediately fell in love. It was like walking into your friendly neighborhood block party where you get hugs from your best friends. I loved everything from the layout of the store to the friendly employees. Take a look at some of the items I bought, and the people who I’ve met along the way… that I now cannot live without.
The lovely girls at Lush Bucktown quickly helped me find a ton of things that were right up my alley. Michelle assisted me in finding my new favorite Fig and Leaves soap, and the girls went around showing me what they loved the most!
Kara has the sweetest smile around! She also loves the Dream Cream and R&B
Flo loves to pair up the best of the best to make some killer duos. She suggests you try Olive Branch and Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner together. Or for another sweet treat pair the A Million Kisses lip tint with a little Latte lip tint over it! She wears by these winning combinations. She is a smart lady!
Lindsey is adorable and loves Grass, Lovely Jubblies, and Silky Underwear (which are all things I ended up getting! I do believe that her and I are on the same page!)
Rachel loves the Turkish Delight, and Ro’s Argan as a winning combination. She also knows a ton about the products, and happens to be one of my favorite ladies in the world!
Michelle sits in a soft spot in my heart because she showed me the way to my personal fave Fig and Leaves… and since we have the same name I feel that we have that little sister-ly bond! Michelle loves anything Karma related which is always a winner in my book!
I urge you to take a stroll over to the Bucktown Lush store, it’s so clean, so friendly, and the neighborhood is great. There’s a ton to do over there, and the parking isn’t a pain either. I encourage you to make a day out of it and stop at lush last. They can give you a nice little foot treatment while you are there, or maybe a little mini facial. It seriously is the perfect ending to a day of shopping in the city. Before you leave pick up a mask for your face to take home.
The skin care there is phenomenal, and literally is the best thing made on earth. The greatest part about making Lush your last stop is… the face masks have to be refrigerated, so, I wouldn’t suggest getting it then letting them sit in the car while you finish shopping. Grab them last on the way out and head home to pamper yourself, or save them for a rainy day! Make sure to store them in your fridge, and only keep them for 7 days!
There was so much loveliness surrounding me that I cannot cover it all in one post so stay tuned to later posts in the series! The Haul of everything I bought that day is coming up next, followed by ‘My name is Michelle and I’m addicted to SOAPS’, then last but not least ‘I love my cupcake mask’. There’s so much I have in store for you guys for the next couple weeks I can barely contain myself!
