I have a lot of people writing in asking what accessories to wear this season. Usually around the holiday time, especially in the USA, there are so many parties to attend & family gatherings that you want to look your best. Here’s some tips on what looks best with you and your style.
First things first… when do you wear gold? I wear gold with anything in the ‘Earth Family’ so, basically anything green, red, tan, black, etc. Gold is a more classic vintage look so you can wear something to make a modern statement, or you can wear something to make it more vintage and classic.
For example, this bracelet here is available during the Black Friday sale’s over at Trendenza’s. This is a great piece to have in your jewelry chest. I would wear this with EVERYTHING! You can dress it up and down, pair it with some gold bangles… the options are limitless. Also, a key thing when you are buying accessories; try to remember this catch phrase ‘Can I wear this with a simple pair of jeans and a T-shirt?’. I’ve noticed that if I get something that’s too dressy to wear with something simple I won’t wear it.

Next is Silver… when is a good time to wear silver? I wear silver when I’m wearing what I like to call ‘Element tones’. To me silver looks best with Black, but I can get away with white, grey, pastel light colors, even red. I think it depends on the feel that you are going for. Silver seems to be the more everlasting modern, picture a working girl of the millennium she has on silver.
There is also a way to tell what looks better with your skin tone, if you have more pinky blue undertones… then silver usually looks better on you. But if you have more ashy golden undertones… gold tends to look better on you. There are cases where you might not be able to see the difference in your own tone… that just means that you could be neutral and that you look great in both! lucky you!
