Supernatural Star Moves Behind the Camera

It might be no secret to fans of “Supernatural” but tomorrow night marks the debut of Jensen Ackles’  (Dean Winchester) first episode behind the camera.  He stepped up and directed episode four: “Weekend at Bobby’s.”

The episode features Jim Beaver’s character “Bobby” and is light on acting for Ackles.  He certainly has impressed his fellow cast mates.  “He’s my favorite director so far,” quipped Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) in a recent promotional video released by the CW.

Filmed at the end of June, 2010 – the accolades have already begun to pour in for Ackles’ skill on the other side of the camera.  In a tweet July 2nd, Jim Beaver claimed “I haven’t worked this hard in a long, long time. I haven’t enjoyed work this much in a long time, either.”  Seems like Ackles has pulled this off but the true test will be the reaction of die-hard fans once the episode airs.

Tune in to the CW Friday night to see the final outcome of Ackles’ time as Director
